History

Immanuel Christian School is a ministry of Immanuel Baptist Church in Morgan City, LA founded in 1981. Pastor Joe Kite and other church members believed developing Christian leaders for the future of our nation was a worthwhile endeavor. From its origin, our goal has been to provide a "quality, Christ-centered education."

Immanuel Christian School offers curriculum from ABeka books and various other options. ICS also offers enrichment opportunities such as art, music, P.E., and computer literacy from Infants (6 weeks old) to High School.

Our Vision

To provide a quality, Christ-centered education.

Our Mission

Immanuel Christian prepares students to learn from a biblical worldview, grow in Christ, and achieve excellence in all things.

Our Motto

“So that Christ may have preeminence, We strive for excellence in all things: Learn. Grow. Achieve!”

Philosophy Statement

Immanuel Christian, as an educational institution, believes bringing up a child in Christ-likeness is primarily the responsibility and Biblical duty of the parent.

Our school exists, therefore, to assist in that education. We work in partnership with the family as we work through our shared commitment of investing in the next generation.

The commitment is expressed in mutual desire to see our students’ transformed to reflect the character of Christ, impacting the world in their calling, family, and community.

We seek to nurture our students’ maturity in leadership, self-discipline, and personal and social development.

Learn. Grow. Achieve

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
— Proverbs 22:6
