Drop-Off & Pick-Up
Working with the Morgan City Police Department we have established a plan to ensure quick/safe drop off and pickup of our students. Please take note that Cedar Dr and Elm St are one way streets leaving the school. All traffic must follow the route below as drawn up by the police department.
Drop off and Pick-up times
Morning drop off:
Infants-K3 will be dropped off in the back carline IN THE RIGHT LANE. If you are dropping off in the carline please stay in the RIGHT lane so the on-duty teachers can get your child(ren) out safely.
K4-12th will be dropped off in the back carline in the LEFT lane under the awnings. (9th-12th Grade will walk to the Sanctuary every morning after entering the building).
ONLY APPROVED ICS Student Drivers will park in the FRONT of the school in their designated parking spot. Approval is given after Driver Forms are completed with parental consent.
*We will close the gates at 8:05am. If you arrive after that time you will need to come into the office and check your child in.
Please be aware no Infant-K2 students will be allowed to be dropped off or checked in after 9:00am without prior permission from the ELC or Development Director.
Afternoon Pick-up:
Infants-K3 will begin dismissal at 3:00pm Monday-Friday. If picking up in the carline please have your cartag in the window so the child’s name is clearly seen before entering the carline. Stay in the RIGHT lane when going around the back. If you are sending someone to pick up your child please make sure they have a car-tag and the code. Again stay in the RIGHT lane. You must stop at the stop sign at the end of the driveway and wait until you are waved in by the duty teacher.
K4-8th grade will begin dismissal at 3:00pm Monday-Friday. If picking up in the carline please have your cartag in the window so the child’s name is clearly seen before entering the carline. Stay in the LEFT lane when going around the back. If you are sending someone to pick up your child please make sure they have a car-tag and the code. Again stay in the LEFT lane. You must stop at the stop sign at the end of the driveway and wait until you are waved in by the duty teacher.
9th-12th Grade will begin dismissal at 3:00pm Monday-Friday. If picking up your HS student AND someone Infants through 8th grades, you will pick up BOTH IN THE CARLINE according to the applicable procedure above. If picking up in the carline please have your cartag in the window so the child’s name is clearly seen before entering the carline. HS Students will be dismissed from the FRONT of the school. If you are picking up ONLY a HS student, please have your cartag at the front parking lot. Approved student-drivers will park in their designated spot at the front parking lot and will be free to leave at dismissal.
