The primary goal of our library here at ICS is to encourage every student to become lifelong readers. All of our students visit the library at least once a week. We have books specifically for every age and every type of reader.  Our students come to the library as young as K3 to hear stories and our 2nd ~ 9th graders visit to find literature to use as research on a variety of special projects they may have going on in their classroom. Through the library program, students develop an appreciation of literature, a love of reading, and independent research skills.

Our students are introduced to the Accelerated Reader (AR) program beginning in 1st grade. Encouraging the love of reading and expanding their comprehension our students strive to meet their AR goals each week.

PARENTS HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO VOLUNTEER IN THE SCHOOL’s Annual Book Fair. PARENT VOLUNTEERS ARE AN ESSENTIAL PART OF THE SUCCESS OF OUR BOOK FAIR. Please talk to your child’s teacher or Mrs. Cecely if you would like to be a part of the fun!

Our annual Book Fair by Scholastic is one of our favorite events that students, family, and even friends love to come be a part of.
